Safe Neighborhoods Program - a program involving the participation of a number of public safety agencies, including police, fire, and EMS in the development of an Emergency QuickGuide and a safety planning workbook. The program also consists of an emergency response team, including many of these agencies, as well as the FBI, U.S. Justice Department, Federal Emergency Response Agency (FEMA), that has been formed and will offer Strip businesses and residents training programs in a variety of different areas.

Emergency Planning Guides - Thanks to funding from Mayor Murphy and Councilman Sala Udin, the Neighbors in the Strip Safe Neighborhood Project now offers an emergency planning guide, "Crisis Management", and an emergency response "QuickGuide" on line. Both are invaluable tools for assisting businesses plan for and respond to potential emergency situations.

Strip District Improvement Strategy - This plan, developed through interactions between Strip businesses/residents and the consultant Karen Brean, contains five key issues and the goals and strategies to achieve them.

Parking Study - A Pittsburgh Parking Authority Study designed to improve parking throughout the neighborhood.

Sidewalk Cleaning - A job-training program, developed in conjunction with Parc-Way Industries, a division of ARC Allegheny, to address sidewalk cleaning issues in the Strip. If additional funding is made available, plans call for more streets to be cleaned on a more frequent basis.
